Appliance Recycling Centers of America (ARCA) collects and recycles appliances for efficiency programs that are run by over 250 electric utilities and other customers. To date, ARCA has recycled over 3.5 million major household appliances and its recycling programs account for about one-quarter of the company’s revenues. ARCA also operates ApplianceSmart, Inc., which sells special-buy household appliances.
